Venezuela's XLIII National Orchid Expo (Part I)
Today i went to the XLIII National Orchid Expo that took place here in Caracas, Venezuela at the Corpbanca Building grounds. It's going to be held for only 2 days today and tomorrow morning.
This time around there were more than 1500 species and hybrids on display and they were divided into 11 groups and 103 prize categories with both a national and international jury.
It was organized by the Miranda State Orchid Society and there were also some orchid and orchid growing and harvesting material vendors at the venue.
It was a very interesting experience both in terms of natural beauty and scented wise, because even though some of the flowers seemed not to yield any scent, there were others that were wonderfully scented and needless to say, it was amazing, and some of these smells were something i've never experienced before in my life.
It seemed that i took like billions of photographs and hopefully you'll like some of them. Please feel free to comment on you favorite photo or flower, and please tell us what your favorite one is.
I'll try to post 3 or more photo-loaded posts or as many as it takes to get the whole thing covered.
Enjoy!
